Human Rights complaints are formal grievances that individuals or groups file when they believe that their rights have been violated.
Human Rights complaints can be filed for a wide range of issues, including discrimination harassment, hate speech, denial of access to education, healthcare or housing, police brutality, and violations of privacy, among others.
Anyone who believes that their Human Rights have been violated can file a Human Rights Complaint.
When individuals believe that their rights have been violated, they can approach the Human Rights Department and submit their written application/complaint.
After a Human Rights complaint is filed, the complaint is forwarded/referred to the concerned department/forums for its resolution/remedy.
There is no fixed timeframe for resolution of a complaint. However, it is resolved in the shortest possible time.
It is not necessary to have a lawyer to file a Human Rights complaint. If the case/complaint involves court matters, the Human Rights Department offers legal aid or assistance to the complainants who cannot afford a lawyer.
