A high-level session on ‘honour killing’ and femicide was jointly organized by the Ministry of Human Rights, Government of Pakistan, Treaty Implementation Cell of the Human Rights Department, Government of Sindh, and UN Women Pakistan on 15 June 2026 in Karachi to deliberate on the growing challenge of gender-based violence and strengthen institutional responses.
A consultative meeting on the National Policy on Ending Violence Against Women and Girls was jointly organized by the Ministry of Human Rights Pakistan, the Treaty Implementation Cell of the Human Rights Department, Government of Sindh, UN Women, and International Organization for Migration (IOM) at the Sindh Judicial Academy (SJA), Karachi on 21st May 2026.
Federal Ministry of Human Rights in collaboration with Treaty Implementation Cell of Human Rights Department, Government of Sindh organized a “Consultative Session with relation to the UN List of Issues concerning combined 6th and 7th Periodic Reports of Pakistan on Convention on the Rights of child (CRC). The Session was chaired by Mr. Rajvir Singh Sodha, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh for Human Rights Dept. The consultation was attended by the representatives of 24 departments of Government of Sindh.

An orientation session on the implementation plans for the compliance with the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) and International Convention on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) with the technical support of UNDP under the EU funded Huqooq-e-Pakistan Project Phase-II was held by the Treaty Implementation Cell (TIC) on 23rd April 2026 in the committee room of Human Rights Department, GoS.
